11 weeks along

So after several days of spotting I was able to make it to the doctors office to make sure everything was okay!  And it was, "Peanut" is growing and is starting to look more like a little human than a peanut!  Doctor Cobb (my favorite doctor & the doctor that delivered Pressley) said that the baby was just gorgeous!  I will continue to spot due to a large pocket of blood left over from the vanishing twin but not to worry because it is normal & won't hurt Peanut.  We are a few days away from being 12 weeks and 1 week shy of being through our first trimester!

Here are some of my thoughts on this pregnancy:
1. I'm over it!  HAH!  I was so blessed with Pressley to have a fun & easy pregnancy, and this one is the exact opposite!  The old-wives tale is that the girl will give you more trouble in the womb, well not in my case... I'm pretty certain its a boy... and I think he's got a temper!

2. The leg aches and hip pain has already begun,  yes, its true- last time that didn't start until my 3rd Trimester, but low- and behold they're baccck!

3.  Prissy's Poopie diapers seem to smell  a little worse lately!  I am not sure if my senses are heightened but blech!

4. I'm already losing my mind!  So as most of you know, I'm not that great with numbers, but its getting worse as of about 2 weeks ago, not only that, I'm acting like a true blonde with some of the comments I make! oh dear- please forgive me I am truly embarrassed!

5. Lastly, here is a updated picture of our latest.

My first mothers day...

Yesterday was one of the most sweetest days I've ever had... Dustin got us all up and fed and we got to church on time... it was raining though :(  In lieu, of Mothers Day, they were honoring 5 mothers with red rose corsages.  They all had different "titles" and mine happened to be "the mother with the youngest child" I was so honored to get to stand up in front of the church and be pinned with a beautiful Red rose!  I was giving an opportunity to say something... but being the last lady to say something, all those cheesy things had already been said... except for one.... talking about my mother.  I said how I was so thankful that my mother was such a Godly mother and that she focused on raising us right!  Now that I've got my soap box, maybe I can include those "cheesy" things the other ladies said... :)

It takes many wonderful things to happen in order to be a mother.  First, God has to chose you-  and I'm so glad he chose ME to be Pressley's mother.  I hope that I can totally fulfill Proverbs 31.  Secondly, it takes a mate, Dustin has such a beautiful heart. He's such a hard worker at everything he does, I often sit back and am amazed that God matched me with such a "Go-Getter"... not that I am lazy or lack motivation, but I know God has big plans for us.
Thirdly, it takes a child... mine being a dream, although yesterday, we was everything but a dream, she makes everything better. She IS my cherry on top!

So now that I've been on my soap box for a paragraph, I hope that will do.  My heart is so full of each one of those things that my little blog couldn't hold everything!

Dustin, Pressley and I went to Yoshida's Japanese Restaurant for Mothers Day Dinner ... I knew that some quiet little restaurant wouldn't do with Prissy there so I chose something, loud and entertaining... and thats exactly what it was!  It turns out, that my boss and his family were at our table too!  So we had such a wonderful time during lunch!

After lunch we stopped by Dustin's parents house to say hello and hang out before "dessert" and I recieved my Mothers day gift... Prissy gave me a handfull of "lemon drop" candies... for all those mouth puckering things I put in her mouth, she thought it only be fitting! :)

Dustin gave me this beautiful silver, pearl & diamond cross necklace.  He wanted me to know that everything that incompasses the cross is what we need to focus on... what a sweetie!

After presents, we went and said hello to "nanno" Dustin's Grandmother... she had a gift for Prissy and wanted to give it to her.  She gave Prissy her very first Bible.  Look at her excitement!

Dancing Peas...

So I was going through some blog posts... and I found this one that I hadn't posted for some reason!  It is Pressley's first taste of peas... she does a little dance that is just too cute.  I also notice the little tiny stage 2 diapers she is wearing... She's getting so big now!

Chance's 5th Birthday!

We got the wonderful opportunity to have Chance on his 5th bday!  Dustin and I wanted to do something real special for him. He had mentioned a while back he wanted a 4 wheeler for his birthday but we thought long and hard and decided that he is still a little young for that and maybe we'll do it for his 6th bday... we'll see.  There is this super neat place in Asheville called "Fun Depot" that we decided we'd go to, it is a Christian company that is sort of like an indoor play-land with bumper cars, minature bowling, putt-putt golf, go- carts, rock climbing, an arcade area, batting cages, lazer tag, and a huge area that is like a McDonalds play land!  So needless to say there was PLENTY TO DO! He had such a great time with his buddies and his family.  Prissy enjoyed all the bows of big brothers presents!  Mimi & Poppy went all out and got him 2 aquatic turtles, Grammy and Papa got him a slip-n-slide and ants in the pants... and we got him several other small gifts and a BIKE!

uhhh-

Well this morning has been rough, I am not sure if I've got allergies or a bad cold... ontop of my stuff nose, runny nose, sneezing, eyes watering... I've got a terrible case of morning sickness.  Blech!  I am able to take Dramamean (sp) but that does make me drowsy....  well, I guess enough fussing from my end.  I'm gonna try and eat some crackers... that should help!

Gaitlinburg

So this weekend, Dustin, Pressley and I packed our bags and headed for Tennessee! Dustin's brother and his family had rented a cabin nestled in the smokey mountains!  It was such a fun time,  We got there late on Friday night and left Sunday afternoon.

Pressley got to meet her cousin Reese for the first time.  She had a fun time and was quite a good baby over the weekend.  We are so blessed to have such a wonderful little girl!  On Saturday, we jumped in the cars and headed to the strip where all the little shops are and strolled around.  How fun!  Then we headed out to the outlets, where I found several steals for Pressleys wardrobe!  I got a Sunday dress with matching shows from A Children's Place for $13.00!  Dustin snagged some good deals too, but I on the other hand, left with out buying that wonderful Coach bag I wanted... one day I suppose!

7 weeks and 1 day

Well for some time now, Dustin and I have know we're expecting, but I had some bleeding last weekend and small cramping so I made an appointment with Doctor Council to make sure "Peanut" was doing alright!  Unfortunately, Dustin wasn't able to get out of work to make the appointment, but I was delighted when I got to see that tiny little heartbeat known as "Peanut"  I will say, that this time around it was different than with Pressley... no tears this time... but I am still just as excited... but its different.  It seems like its almost a dream... I am pregnant again... WHAT!

Its been a tough road so far, I'm not sure if I am more tired because not only am I pregnant but also have a 6 month old or I am just reacting to this pregnancy differently.  I do believe that this time, I am having a boy though,  unlike with Pressley, I am have morning sickness, I am miserable and tired all the time.  I have fallen asleep in my car during my lunch hour  4-5 times in the last 2 weeks.  The doctor said that its just my first trimester and I was lucky last time not to feel this bad.

So since we are 7 weeks and 1 day- that makes our due date November 27th, which happens to be on Thanksgiving day!   Mom and Dad have that whole week of Thanksgiving off so they will be able to be here for the birth... maybe I'll go a little early so they can stay the whole week!  Cross your fingers!

some things... :)

1. Well today while going through my emails I noticed that Google has introduced a Customized Timing Option for emails.  So say you forgot to email your mother in law a happy birthday note, you just type it up and you can date it back as far as April 1, 2004! Isn't that the craziest thing you've ever heard!  hmmm... I wonder if it is a April Fools  Hoax...

2. Pressley has got 2 "teefers" coming up on her bottom jaw.  I can't really get a picture w/o getting bit so until they are more prominent the pictures will have to wait. She is awfully cute though, but getting so big!

3. I have a wonderful Husband, I think sometimes he underestimates my love for him... so my goal for April is to find different ways to show him EVERYDAY how much I love him. :)  If anyone has ideas, I'm open to hearing them! :)

We're expecting!

So I am LATE!  ... not sure if you can see this image but if you look hard enough it will read "Pregnant"  WOOO HOOO!  I surprised Dustin today by telling him to sit down and cover his eyes, when he opened them he realized He's gonna be a daddy three times over!   He was so excited he started crying... but shhh don't tell him I told you!  **Cross your fingers he doesn't read this post** :)  Either way we are super super super excited that Chance and Pressley will have a new sibling in about 10 months! YAY!

Happy Easter

Eyes on you~

I found the CUTEST little outfit for Bedford's Funeral that looked like a little sailor outfit. I know, I'm a slacker and didn't get any pictures of the outfit, but I'm sure you'd understand that the whole day was a Whirlwind. I will get her all dolled up again and get pictures I PROMISE!

But I did snap one that I thought was worthy of the Blog...

Baby Meredith... :)

Catherine Wagner Wrote: I am sure you are all aware that Sunday was a very difficult day for Beth and her family. Meredith is stable now and continuing to be strong. We are thankful that God gave them a new day today. Meredith opened her eyes again today and even had some slight movement of her leg. God is so good to answer our prayers of giving them small blessings in this storm. Meredith started Chemo again today and I just ask that you pray for God's strength for sweet Mer. God gave me a good reminder in my bible study today in Hebrews 13:5. He says... Never will I leave you and never will I forsake you. I was so comforted to have this reminder in a time that is so hard for my sweet friend. I claim this verse as God's promise to never leave tem. I am truly so blessed by their faith and know that God is with them...especially our precious Mer Mer. A very close friend has had it on her heart to fast for Meredith. She sent out and email to some of us about how she is planning to do this for Meredith. I am posting her email asking you all to consider joining us in fasting for Meredith. Right now Anna Marie has people dedicated to fast for at different times. We are looking for individuals who are interested in filling in the gaps of time. How amazing would it be to have each day covered in times of fasting for Meredith. Please don't hesitate to let me know if you have any questions. You can email her directly if you interested. (amgdiggs@gmail.com) Anna Marie's Email Not sure if all of you know me, but I am one of Beth's friends. We met at BSF and I was in her prayer group until moving to KY 2 years ago. Fasting has really been on my heart this past week. During this past week, I felt like God wanted me to email everyone so that we could be fasting as a group for the healing of Mer and peace for the family. Beth's latest email seemed like an open door to ask you guys to join in. A few years ago, I had few experiences with fasting and didn't really understand it. I'm still learning about how God uses fasting, but I'm convinced that it can be a powerful way for us to connect with God in prayer. The Bible consistently pairs prayer and fasting. A few years ago, my husband and three of their friends felt as if God was calling them to fast for another friend who was a nonbeliever and a heavy user of drugs and alcohol. They took turns fasting a day for two weeks for their friend. After the two weeks, they talked to their friend and he said that over the previous two weeks he had "no desire" for drugs or alcohol for the whole two weeks. This friend had no idea that they were fasting for him. This friend later went on to become a Christian. Also, some friends and family set aside some time to pray for my mother as she tried to quit smoking. She had been a smoker for almost 40 years, and I'm convinced that our prayers and fasting helped her quit. She has been a non-smoker for almost a year now. I'm writing this email because I'm hoping that maybe some of you will join me in fasting as we pray for healing for Meredith and peace for her family. I encourage you to think and pray about this to see if God may be leading you to fast as well. For me, fasting a meal, gives me time to focus on prayer, listen to God and study His word. I am going to fast one-two meals on Mondays. If you're interested in joining me, please email me so that we can coordinate times for fasting - how awesome to have someone fasting every day of the week, especially during this critical time.

Last night the Lord gave me this verse...And He said, The Lord is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer. 2 Samuel 22:2 In my devotion it talked about the Israelites and all the things they would have missed if they had gone by the short route- the thrilling deliverance from Egypt's chariots when the sea was rolled back. It encouraged us to not ask for shortcuts and to keep alert for the wonders our Guide will show us in the wilderness. How appropriate this was for me. I feel like I am in the wilderness, a dry, lonely place where I feel like I have lost my way. But, everyime I get to this place, God brings me back. I feel like I can survive another day. His grace and mercy are amazing. Our friends and family have been incredible. I cannot express how grateful I am for each of you. You have carried many of my burdens as if they were your own. As I look back on my life, I see how each of you was webbed so perfectly into my journey. My Prayer Group of five years continues to pick me up in my darkest hours, my parents from Exploris Middle School have become my babysitters for Tyler and my organizers, my family has given me multiple shoulders to cry on and my best friend, Cat (who you all know by now) has been all these things including my personal assistant. God is so good to have given me each of you! Chris said to me a couple of weeks ago when this all started that this is the time to use all that I have learned in my Bible studies, Sunday School and church. Everything that I have learned about the Lord over the years was not for me to become a better Christian or a stronger person. It was all for this moment. I have to use everything I know about God... He is all knowing, in control. loving, faithful, He hears our cries, He comforts, He sustains us with His sure words- in a place where there is nothing else we can count on. Each day I struggle to remind myself of these things. Every day there are victories and great setbacks. Meredith is fighting and she is strong. Today was a terrible day full of worry and frustration. My heart brakes every minute I am with her. There is nothing worse than watching her hurt. I know you are praying your hearts out for our little Mer Mer. I ask you to continue doing so, we need God to zap all those tumors immediately- especially the ones around her brainstem. Pray for a better day tomorrow. Pray for her heartrate and breathing to get back to normal. Pray for her heart and lungs to stay strong and her body to fight the cancer. Pray for her to be free from infection. Most of all pray for her to feel God's comfort through this painful ordeal. Thanks for all of your love and care. Beth
